+86 -13559234186The Shuttering Magnet of Side Rods (with side rod magnet box) is a switchable permanent magnetic fixture specifically designed to "hold" side forms in place in precast concrete plants. Its core consists of a strong NdFeB magnet, a steel shell, and one (or two) welded side rods. The side rods are threaded with M12/M16/M20 threads and can be hooked directly into the slots of steel, wood, or aluminum side forms. Pressing the top button closes the magnetic circuit, instantly generating a vertical suction force of 450-2500 kg, firmly securing the side form to the steel formwork table. A light flick of the button with a crowbar disconnects the magnetic circuit, allowing the entire form to be moved to the next mold section—without any bolts, welds, or holes.

Precast concrete push-pull button magnets are a standard magnetic fixing solution for securing precast frames to steel worktops. They are widely used with steel, wood, or plywood frames, with or without additional adapters. These push-pull magnets, with a double-sided stem, can be directly inserted into steel frames without the need for additional adapters. They feature a steel housing and welded steel stem, along with a switchable spring-loaded button integrated magnetic system. Thanks to the latest super neodymium magnets, they provide a strong and durable hold, preventing the frame from slipping and moving.
Please note: To maximize magnetic force, be sure to remove any debris such as broken concrete and nails from under the magnets before installation. Before pressing the spring-loaded button, position the magnet correctly, allowing the side stems to rest on the frame recesses. No additional welding or bolting is required. Subsequent operations require only the push-pull button. After demolding, the button is preferably released using a dedicated lever tool.
Core Advantages:
German-grade quality, 50% price reduction—Fully inspected core, 10-year demagnetization rate <3%
Smaller size, greater load capacity—A compact 170×60×40mm footprint delivers 450kg of suction force, 40% lighter than traditional magnetic boxes
Universal adapter, one-size-fits-all—Standard M12/M16/M20 adapters allow for easy conversion between wood, aluminum, and steel molds
Spring-loaded, shock-resistant and foolproof—Patented spring return mechanism ensures vibration resistance even with high-frequency vibrations
Maintenance-free, easy to clean—Laser-sealed housing removes cement slurry with a simple wipe.

Core Component: Where is it used?
When pouring concrete walls, columns, and beams, two parallel formwork panels (usually steel) are first used to define the desired shape and spacing. To resist the immense lateral pressure of the concrete and prevent the formwork from deforming or popping, metal rods called "tie rods" or "side rods" are used to tie and secure the two panels.
"Shuttering Magnets of Side Rods" are devices used to secure the ends of these rods.
Application Scenario: Who needs it most?
Large-scale commercial complexes and residential projects: Construction sites with strict deadlines and requiring rapid formwork turnover.
Infrastructure projects, such as bridges, tunnels, and dams, utilize large quantities of formwork and place extremely high demands on safety and efficiency.
Precast component plants: On standardized, repetitive production lines, magnetic formwork maximizes its efficiency advantages.
In precast concrete plants, are you still struggling with the following issues?
Screw and bolt fastenings require at least 2 hours for assembly and disassembly, resulting in high labor costs.
High-frequency vibrations from the vibrating table cause side formwork to shift, resulting in a rework rate exceeding 5% for component dimensional tolerances.
Repeated drilling of steel formwork leads to a scrap rate of up to 30% per year, driving up hidden costs.
This is why Shuttering Magnet of Side Rods are a favorite among project managers and workers.
How to Use Sidebar Formwork Magnets
Place the precast concrete fixing magnet box in the designated location. Press the switch, and the fixing magnet box will attach to the formwork platform. Use a specialized crowbar to pry the switch up. This increases the distance between the magnetic array and the formwork platform, releasing the attachment. Fixing screws can be used to secure various types of sidebars and clamps.
How to choose a high-quality and reliable magnetic formwork?
Magnetic strength: Confirm whether the maximum pull-out force can meet the concrete lateral pressure requirements of your project.
Material and craftsmanship: The outer shell should be made of high-strength, corrosion-resistant steel, and the internal magnets must be well protected to prevent impact and shattering.
Brand and reputation: Choose a brand with numerous successful cases and a strong industry reputation for greater assurance of quality and after-sales service.
